We are happy to help you in any questions you may have about our Aussies. They are a wonderful breed of dog that will amaze you with their intelligence, personalities and their loyalty. Their main goal in life is to please their master and they do it well. They learn very quickly and many times they will think things through on their own, they are problem solvers. They will just as easily bond with a person as well as the whole entire family. They make excellent family dogs. But make sure you do your research because Aussies, because they are not for everybody.
The Aussie is Animated, adaptable and agile, the Australian Shepherd lives for his job, which still involves herding livestock and working as an all-purpose farm and ranch dog. He needs a lot of activity and a sense of purpose to be truly content. Today, due to the breed's intelligence and versatility, "Aussies" also excel in AKC events such as agility, obedience and herding. Their coats can be black, blue merle, red merle and red with or without white markings.
An energetic breed with strong herding and guarding instincts, the Aussie requires daily exercise. Although sometimes reserved with strangers, they are "people" dogs that want to always be near their families. Their coats can require weekly brushing.
